A Little on Diplo and Steve Aoki

Diplo

Diplo, who goes by the real name of Thomas Pentz is a Californian songwriter, record producer, DJ, as well as a record executive majorly known for co-creating and assuming a lead role in Major Lazer – a music project featuring electronic dancehall. Some of his most important contacts include fellow DJ and music producer, Skrillex, with whom he formed the electronic music duo called Jack U. In his role as a record executive and music producer, he runs a record company by the name of Mad Decent. Unknown to many people is the fact that Diplo is a philanthropist as exhibited in his massive contribution in Heaps Decent, a not-for-profit company organization he runs as well. Another unpopular fact is that Diplo once worked as a school teacher in Philadelphia before making it big in the music industry. Internationally, Diplo has worked with the British musician MIA who helped him establish his career. In America, he has worked on many mixtape projects with many pop and electronic music artists – also contributing to the massive recognition for the 38-year-old.

Steve Aoki

Steve Aoki is yet another 38 years old electro music artist from the United States. Steve has made a name for himself working closely with respected vocalists and producers in America including old-timers such as Lil Jon, Afrojack, Laidback Luke, as well as fresh talents such as Iggy Azalea. He is also famed for making hit remixes for globally acknowledged artists such as Kid Cudi.  Aoki does well in tours. In the year 2012, he was named the highest grossing artist in the North American region. Aoki’s work has been featured in the Billboard chart, and as a further appreciation for his work, he was nominated for a Grammy Award in the year 2013 – for his album, Wonderland. Steve is humanitarian too and runs the Steve Aoki Foundation credited for raising money used globally for human relief initiatives. Steve has worked with many people in the music industry, including Diplo, with whom he toured the less-travelled Chinese regions for electro music shows.
